Elections Ontario Voter's List

Elections Ontario maintains the Permanent Register of Electors for Ontario, commonly known as the Register or Voters’ List. The Voters’ List, is a list of individuals who are eligible to vote in provincial and local municipal elections in Ontario. Confirm, update, or add your information if you:

  • have changed your name or address
  • own or rent a new property
  • no longer own or rent a property
  • want to remove your information
  • removing yourself from the Register
  • removing a deceased person from the Register
  • adding yourself to the list of Future Voters (if you’re under 18 years of age)

School Support

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) remains responsible for collecting information about a voter's school support. To confirm or change your school support, use the button below.

Who Can Vote in LaSalle in the 2026 LaSalle Municipal and School Board Election?

If you meet all the following conditions, you are eligible to vote in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election:

  • a Canadian citizen
  • at least 18 years old
  • a resident in the Town of LaSalle or a non-resident of Town of LaSalle and you or your spouse own or rent property in the Town of LaSalle
  • not prohibited from voting under the Municipal Elections Act or otherwise by law

Note: You can only vote once, regardless of how many properties you own or rent within the Town of LaSalle. 

The Municipal Elections Act prohibits the following persons from voting:

  • any person who is not qualified;
  • a person who is serving a sentence or imprisonment in a penal or correctional institution;
  • a corporation;
  • a person acting as executor or trustee or in any other representative capacity;
  • a person who has been convicted of corrupt practices under the Municipal Elections Act if voting day in the current election is less than 5 years after voting day in the election in respect of which he or she was convicted; and
  • anyone who is prohibited by law from voting.

As outlined in the Municipal Elections Act a person may have residences and vote in two local municipalities at the same time, in the same election, if:

  • The person lives in one of the local municipalities in order to attend an educational institution, but not with the intention of changing their permanent lodging place; and
  •  The person's permanent lodging place is in the other local municipality.
