Message from the Mayor

April 17, 2026

Dear LaSalle residents,

April has been a busy and exciting month in LaSalle, filled with moments that bring our community together and remind us of the pride we share in the place we call home. From meaningful celebrations to opportunities for connection and community involvement, there is much to highlight as we move further into the spring season.

LaSalle Awards of Excellence

I would like to recognize what was truly a milestone event for our community — the inaugural LaSalle Awards of Excellence, held on Thursday, April 9. For a first-time event, it exceeded all expectations. It was an incredible evening that brought together residents, businesses, and community leaders to celebrate those who make LaSalle such a welcoming town.

Congratulations to all the nominees and recipients who were recognized for their dedication and contributions. I would like to acknowledge Jeff Burrows, Robert Moore, and Angelo Lucier, who received distinguished awards for their outstanding achievements and the meaningful impact they continue to have in our community.

What made the evening especially memorable were the powerful stories of leadership, generosity, and commitment to giving back. I would also like to sincerely thank Town staff for their hard work behind the scenes — their efforts were instrumental in making this special evening possible.

Mondays with the Mayor

I would also like to remind residents about Mondays with the Mayor. I will be available on Monday, April 20, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, for anyone who would like to stop in for a conversation. No appointment is required — simply check in with reception upon arrival at the LaSalle Civic Centre. For those who prefer, advance bookings are also available.

Clean-up LaSalle – Earth Day

As we approach Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22, residents are encouraged to take part in Clean-up LaSalle. This initiative is a great opportunity to gather as a community to help clean up a local park or trail. The Town will provide gloves and garbage bags to registered participants. We look forward to seeing the community come together to support a cleaner, greener LaSalle. Be sure to tag the Town in your social media posts so they can share your efforts.

Temporary Detour Turtle Club Parade

Lastly, I would like to highlight the upcoming Turtle Club Parade on Saturday, April 25, taking place from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Due to construction along Front Road, there will be a temporary detour and road closures along the parade route this year. As always, we invite everyone to come out and cheer on the walkers. I wish all players, coaches, and volunteers a fun and successful season ahead. Residents are encouraged to visit our website news page and LaSalle Police and Town social media for details. Please allow extra travel time. Thank you for continuing to engage with and support our community. I look forward to seeing many of you at these upcoming events and enjoying all that spring has to offer in LaSalle.

Council Meetings

Regular meetings of the Town of LaSalle Council are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. Meetings commence at 6:00 p.m. and take place in the Council Chambers at the LaSalle Civic Centre.

The next Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026.  Attend in person in Council Chambers or stream live on the Town of LaSalle YouTube.
