The LaSalle New Year’s Eve Drive-In Fireworks show is scheduled at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex, 2121 Laurier Parkway, LaSalle, ON. Find a parking spot on-site and snuggle up with your family for an exciting fireworks display. Fireworks begin at 7:30 pm on December 31 and will be launched behind the outdoor pavilion, near the splash pad, making them visible from any parking lot on-site, including the ones near the baseball diamonds. Fireworks for the show are provided with support from Essex Powerlines Corporation.
To launch fireworks, there are strict guidelines that must be met which include an environmental assessment study as well as tree planting to offset emissions. The fireworks show generates paper and plastic debris which is cleaned up following the show. The chemicals used are strictly regulated by Environment Canada. An interesting fact about the fireworks show at the Vollmer is that it generates less CO emissions than a single vehicle travelling 100 km/h for 10 minutes.
Parking is available at the Vollmer Complex inside a designated parking lot only. Parking or stopping on the road or shoulder is not permitted. Please adhere to the “No Parking” signs posted throughout the area. Officers from LaSalle Police Service will be patrolling the area. Cars on the road or shoulder may be ticketed and/or towed. We appreciate your cooperation for everyone’s safety.
