Splash Pad - Vollmer Complex

Cool off at the splash pad located at the Vollmer Complex, 2121 Laurier Parkway. Enjoy event more fun at the adjoining accessible playground. Ready to get soaked? Just press one of the activation buttons and the water features will spring to life.

The splash pad uses fresh municipal water—the same safe water supplied to homes throughout the community. The water is unheated, making it the perfect way to cool down on a warm day.

Please note that the splash pad and playground are available for everyone to enjoy and cannot be reserved for private rentals.

 

Hours of Operation

The splash pad is open for the season the Friday before Victoria Day and will close the last Sunday in September, weather permitting. Visitors can enjoy the splash pad daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

The Vollmer Splash Pad is an outdoor facility and may close or adjust operating hours due to weather conditions. Weather is monitored daily to help ensure the safety of all visitors and staff. If thunder or lightning occurs, the splash pad will close immediately and remain closed for at least 30 minutes after the last sighting of lightning or sound of thunder.

For health and safety reasons, the splash pad will close for 30 minutes if a fouling incident occurs. Visitors can help reduce the spread of germs and avoid unnecessary closures by following a few simple healthy habits:

  • Do not visit he splash pad if you or your child are feeling unwell or have diarrhea. This is especially import for children who wear diapers.
  • Feed your children at least one hour before arriving at the splash pad.
  • Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers designed for use in the water.
  • Take children to the washroom before using the splash pad.

  • Place all garbage in the provided bins before leaving.
  • Wear clean sandals, flip-flops, or other water-friendly footwear. Street shoes are not allowed beyond the viewing area.
  • Be respectful of other visitors. Do not spit in the splash pad or spit out water while playing.
  • Do not use the splash pad if you have open cuts, sores, or wounds.
  • Use the washroom before entering the splash pad. 
  • Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper designed for water use.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed within the splash pad area. Nearby picnic tables may be used for snacks and meals.

The splash pad is unsupervised. Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times. Please be kind and share the space with others. Outdoor restrooms are located next to the splash pad along with a large shade pavilion. The pavilion is sponsored by Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU).
