Skating Programs

For those who are looking to get some exercise while skating on the ice. Hockey sticks are allowed but pucks are not.

Fees: $3.99+hst

For: Adults 16+

Summer Schedule:

Wednesdays and Fridays: 9:00 am to 9:50 am

This is a drop-in program for recreational figure skaters to practice their skating skills.

Fee: $9.50

For: Youth 7+, children under 10 must be supervised by an adult.

Summer Schedule:

Tuesdays:

6:30 am to 7:50 am

Location: Rink B

Come and enjoy a skate open for all ages. Skating aids and trainers are permitted on the ice but must remain within the centre ice area (neutral zone). Hockey sticks and pucks are prohibited.

Fees:

Under 2: Free
Ages 2 to 13: $4.00
Ages 14+: $3.99+hst
Family (up to a maximum of 5 people): $15.05+hst

For: All ages, but children under 10 must be supervised by an adult.

Location: Rink B

Summer Schedule:

Fridays: 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm

Stay in the game and keep in shape with our drop in sticks and pucks time. Practice your stick handling and skating skills in a slower paced environment.

This is an unstructured ice time. No private programs are permitted. Organized hockey games, slap shots, and structured practices are not permitted. For individuals 18 years of age and older. CSA approved helmets are recommended to be worn by participants.

Fridays: 11:30 am to 12:20 pm

The Summer Skating Schedule runs from June 28 to September 6, 2026. Registration is recommended for recreational skates.

Skating Rules

For your safety an emergency phone is located inside the penalty box area.

The phone connects directly to emergency services dispatch. In the event of an emergency, direct emergency services to the Vollmer Complex, located at 2121 Laurier Parkway.

If an emergency situation arises, please advise Town staff immediately.

We strongly recommend all skaters wear a CSA approved hockey helmet for their own safety and protection.

Please follow these rules while on the ice surface:

Be courteous and respectful of other ice users.
Children aged 10 and under must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
Unsafe skating is prohibited (fast, racing, tag, horseplay, figure skating, ice dancing).
Ice skates must be worn at all times while on the ice surface. Shoes are not allowed on the ice.
Food and drink are not allowed on the ice.
Please remain seated on the bench while the ice resurfacer is on the ice. Do not enter the ice until the ice resurfacing doors have closed.
Follow the direction of Town staff at all times.

Skating aids and trainers are permitted on the ice but must remain within the centre ice area (neutral zone).

Please monitor your children when they use these devices. Chairs and strollers are not permitted on the ice surface. Individuals in wheelchairs are permitted to enter the ice surface in their wheelchair.

Temporary Town Closures for Staff Training

All Town of LaSalle facilities will be closed to the public on Wednesday, June 24, for a Town wide staff training day. On Thursday, June 25, the Vollmer Centre will be closed to the public, and all municipal buildings will also be closed on Wednesday, July 1, for Canada Day.
