Skating Programs
For those who are looking to get some exercise while skating on the ice. Hockey sticks are allowed but pucks are not.
Fees: $3.99+hst
For: Adults 16+
Fall Schedule:
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9:30 am to 10:50 am

This is a drop-in program for recreational figure skaters to practice their skating skills.
Fee: $9.50
For: Youth 7+, children under 10 must be supervised by an adult.

Reserve a space on our ice rink for one of our home school skate times. Sticks and pucks are permitted on the ice.

For: Youth 4+, children under 10 must be supervised by an adult.

Children ages 0 to 4 years, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian that is a minimum of 16 years of age, while on the ice. Sticks and pucks are not permitted on the ice.

Come and enjoy a skate open for all ages. Skating aids and trainers are permitted on the ice but must remain within the centre ice area (neutral zone). Hockey sticks and pucks are prohibited.

Fridays 4:00 pm to 4:50 pm
Sundays: 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm
Dates not offered:
Stay in the game and keep in shape with our drop in sticks and pucks time. Practice your stick handling and skating skills in a slower paced environment.
This is an unstructured ice time. No private programs are permitted. Organized hockey games, slap shots, and structured practices are not permitted. For individuals 18 years of age and older. CSA approved helmets are recommended to be worn by participants.

The Fall Skating Schedule runs from September 8 to December 19, 2026. Registration is recommended for recreational skates.

Skating Rules
For your safety an emergency phone is located inside the penalty box area.
The phone connects directly to emergency services dispatch. In the event of an emergency, direct emergency services to the Vollmer Complex, located at 2121 Laurier Parkway.
If an emergency situation arises, please advise Town staff immediately.
We strongly recommend all skaters wear a CSA approved hockey helmet for their own safety and protection.
Please follow these rules while on the ice surface:
Skating aids and trainers are permitted on the ice but must remain within the centre ice area (neutral zone).
Please monitor your children when they use these devices. Chairs and strollers are not permitted on the ice surface. Individuals in wheelchairs are permitted to enter the ice surface in their wheelchair.

Fall has arrived, and with the changing season, the LaSalle Boat Ramp at LaSalle Landing will be winding down for the year. Beginning on Saturday, October 10, 2026, an on-site attendants will no longer be available at the ramp.

All Town of LaSalle facilities will be closed to the public on Wednesday, June 24, for a Town wide staff training day. On Thursday, June 25, the Vollmer Centre will be closed to the public, and all municipal buildings will also be closed on Wednesday, July 1, for Canada Day.
