The tradition continues in LaSalle! In preparation for the LaSalle Strawberry Festival, volunteers are needed to help clean strawberries on:
Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 6:00 pmAdvance registration is not required. Please meet at the Event Centre at 6:00 pm. An hour or two of time would be greatly appreciated! High school volunteer forms can be signed for these community service hours.
Parking is available at the Event Centre by entering the parking lot from Bouffard Road. Additional parking spaces are available at the Riverdance building which is a short walk to the Event Centre. Guests can be dropped off at the Event Centre before parking. Pets are not permitted, service dogs only.

Festival Admission Advanced admission tickets are available online. The only way to purchase admission tickets before the festival begins is through the online portal. Once the festival opens, admission can also be purchased at the festival entrance.

LaSalle Strawberry Festival Parade - Front Road |
The LaSalle Strawberry Festival Parade is held on the Saturday of the festival weekend at 10:00 am on Front Road, beginning at Old Front Road and ending at Sacred Heart Dr. The parade route is 1.5 KM. All streets perpendicular to Front Road, from Reaume Road to Delaware Avenue, will be closed beginning at 9:30 am and will remain closed until approximately 10:45 am. If you are planning on commuting, please seek an alternative route. LaSalle Transit 25 route will be redirected for the parade. Bus stops located on Matchett Road, Morton Drive, Front Road, and International Avenue are closed between 9:00 am and Noon on Saturday, June 8. The route will resume normal operation, with all bus stops open, following the parade. LaSalle Transit is free Thursday to Saturday on the festival weekend! |

The Town of LaSalle is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone attending the LaSalle Strawberry Festival. Everyone should expect and help to promote an environment where people are treated in a courteous, professional, considerate, and respectful manner. The Town of LaSalle will not tolerate unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or offensive conduct. Guests who engage in this type of behaviour are subject to being ejected and potentially banned from the Festival and the property and may be subject to arrest by law enforcement.
Various resources are used to ensure the safety of everyone visiting the Festival including the use of uniformed police officers and security guards. Please report any security concerns to event staff, onsite police, onsite security or by calling the LaSalle Police Service at 519-969-5210.

Parking |
Accessible parking spaces can be found in parking lots 1 and 4 from which fully paved and level pathways lead to the event. Please note that parking lots 6 and 7 are stone lots and parking lots 2, 3 and 5 are closed as they are part of the event space. View the Vollmer Complex Grounds Map. |
Wheelchair and Stroller Accessible Grounds |
The festival grounds are fully paved and level to ensure ease of access for persons with mobility devices and parents with strollers. |
Rest Area/Quiet Space |
The festival will feature a rest area/quiet space as a resource for individuals who may need it such as nursing mothers and those with sensory sensitivities. |
Sensory Friendly Hour |
Sensory-friendly hour, with limited noise and lights, will take place on Sunday, June 9 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. |
Support Persons and Service Animals |
Support persons assisting patrons with disabilities are offered free admission into the festival (one support person per person with a disability). Patrons are asked to identify their support person at the festival admission gate so they can be assisted. Service and support animals are welcome at the Strawberry Festival and are permitted in all areas the public would normally be allowed to go. Please note that service and support animals will not be permitted on amusement rides. Service and support animals should be on a leash and under the control of their owner or handler at all times. Event staff reserve the right to ask for documentation related to service and support animals. |
Pets are not permitted on the festival grounds due to the large volume of visitors within the park. Service animals are permitted.
An ATM will be on site. Some vendors are equipped to accept credit and debit cards.
Approved bags cannot exceed 14” x 14” x 6”. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted. All persons and bags entering the festival will be subject to security inspection.
Free parking is available in designated lots. Parking is available in four lots and is on a first come first serve basis. If you park in a no parking zone, you could be ticketed or towed. Accessible parking is available and located in the main Vollmer Complex parking lot with signage and is clearly identifiable. Patrons are encouraged to consider biking to the festival and taking advantage of the free bike valet service.
Bike Windsor-Essex will be offering a bike valet service during the festival. Feel free to take your bicycle to the event!

Security is posted at the festival entrances as well as throughout the festival grounds. By entering the event, you are agreeing to security is permitted to search bags for contraband such as alcohol, weapons or narcotics.
For additional public safety, LaSalle Police Service deploys uniformed officers at the festival.
In accordance with Smoke Free Ontario Act and Town By-law 7775, Smoking and Vaping on Town property is prohibited. Alcohol is prohibited at the event.
The Town of LaSalle, in partnership with Life After Fifty, will be selling strawberries and ice cream at the event. Come and enjoy a cup of fresh and local strawberries from Raymont's Berries.
Raymont's Berries is located in Cottom in Essex County. Raymont's serves delicious produce. Visit their farm to pick up fresh local berries, vegetables and more. You can also see the Raymont's Berries truck in the Strawberry Festival Parade carrying Captain Strawberry.
Ride LaSalle Transit 25 for free from Thursday, June 6 to Saturday, June 8! The bus service has been enhanced during the LaSalle Strawberry Festival with free service and extended hours to match those of the festival. Buses will run during festival hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with final pick-ups at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex taking place a few minutes after the festival closes.
2024 LaSalle Transit Strawberry Festival Schedule
One free shuttle bus will also run on Friday night to bring patrons to and from the festival for the fireworks. The bus will travel between the Event Centre at 970 Front Road and the Vollmer Complex between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Parking is first come first serve and is available at the Event Centre by entering the parking lot from Bouffard Road. Additional parking is available at Front Road and Laurier Drive. It is a short walk from the additional parking to the Event Centre. Guests can be dropped off at the Event Centre before parking. The shuttle service will run about every 30 minutes.
Looking to add to your high school volunteer credits? Interested in supporting the festival? Volunteers are needed to clean and cut strawberries. Come to the LaSalle Event Centre on Wednesday, June 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to help. For those looking for volunteer credits, staff on site will complete your credit form. Registration is not required.
A water bottle refill station provided by the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be available once inside the festival, free of charge.
