Residents and Businesses are Encouraged to Plan Ahead

Following the announcement of a nationwide strike by Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), the Town of LaSalle is encouraging residents and businesses to prepare for a mail delivery service disruption. This may affect the arrival of important Town documents such as property tax bills, water/wastewater bills, invoices, and public notices.

To avoid late fees and stay informed, we encourage you to:

  • Subscribe to our News pages to receive emailed news releases as soon as they are posted.

  • Visit the Public Meetings page for public meeting notifications regarding Planning Act applications.

Invoices should continue to be emailed Accounts Payable. Vendors/businesses not yet registered for electronic payments are encouraged to email Accounts Payable to register.

Vendors who receive cheques by mail can pick them up at the LaSalle Civic Centre, 5950 Malden Road, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. To confirm availability, please email Accounts Payable. When picking up, vendors must bring a company letter, photo ID, and sign for the cheque. Unclaimed cheques will be mailed once postal service resumes.

In place of mailing public notices to surrounding residents of planning projects, a notice will be posted on a sign on the subject property.

Information related to the upcoming 2025 LaSalle Municipal By-election will be provided next week.

Stay informed and plan ahead! Even during a service disruption, account holders are responsible for ensuring all payments are made by the due date.
