Budget and Finance

The Finance Department provides financial stewardship and leadership to the Town of LaSalle. This Division is responsible for the preparation and coordination of capital and operating budgets; long-term financial planning; financial analysis and reporting; development charges administration; investments and debt management; asset management and reporting, reserve and reserve fund administration; coordination of grant applications; and financial policies and procedures.

Asset Management Plan

In order to qualify for Provincial Grants, the Ontario government now requires municipalities to have asset management plans in place. The Town of LaSalle's plan is reviewed and updated on an annual basis.

Conservation and Energy Management Plan

In accordance with Ontario Regulation 507/18, municipalities are required to complete a Conservation and Energy Management Plan.

Housing Needs Assessment

The Town of LaSalle’s Housing Needs Assessment outlines the community’s current and future housing needs using local data and trends. It highlights gaps in available housing and helps guide long‑term planning and investment decisions.

Water Financial Plan

As part of the Safe Drinking Water Act, municipalities are required to provide a financial plan to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing every five years. The next plan is due to be submitted by January 1, 2025.
