Speaking Before Council

Hybrid Meetings and Delegations

Members of the public can participate in Council meetings in-person or virtually. Meetings are open to the public and seats in the gallery have been reduced to allow for physical distancing. If you choose to attend in-person, please note that masking is optional at this time. If you wish to simply observe a meeting from your home, you can watch a livestream of the meeting on our YouTube Channel.

It is your responsibility to indicate if you require an accommodation. The Clerk will determine the best method to address the accommodation before the meeting. The meetings are broadcasted live on the Town of LaSalle's YouTube Channel. Delegates that participate virtually will form part of the recording.

Please use the below submission form for any delegation requests, presentation requests, or written submissions.

Before you decide to appear before Council, you may want to discuss the matter with a Council Member or Town of LaSalle Staff Member. Some matters may be addressed without the need to appear before Council.  At the very least, the Council Member or Staff Member will advise you of next steps.

Please review our Petition Guide (pdf) for a petition template.

Completed Petition Forms must be submitted to the Town of LaSalle Clerk in person or by mail to 5950 Malden Road, LaSalle, ON N9H 1S4.

If you wish to participate in a Council Meeting or provide a written submission, you must use the designated Delegation Request/Written Submission Form (button at the bottom of the page). Delegation Requests and Written Submissions must be submitted to the Clerk by Friday at noon before the scheduled Council Meeting. Anything submitted after the cut off time will not form part of the Agenda.

Council Meetings are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, begin at 6 p.m. and take place in Council Chambers, located in the LaSalle Civic Centre.
