Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan

The Town of LaSalle is preparing a Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan to guide strategic decision-making to meet the needs of all residents over the next 5 years, with a longer-term outlook to the year 2050 when the population is expected to reach 50,000 residents.

The Master Plan will explore:

• Indoor recreation facilities such as arenas, pools, and gymnasiums;
• Outdoor recreation facilities such as sports fields, playgrounds, and splash pads;
• Parks and open spaces;
• Cultural facilities; and
• Program and service delivery.

Have Your Say in How You Play!

Community engagement is important to ensure that the Master Plan responds to the needs of residents. We want to know how you use parks, recreation, and cultural facilities, and how we can improve public spaces, services, and programs for current and future generations. Community engagement will begin soon; here is how you can get involved:

• Attend the Town of LaSalle Open House to provide us with your thoughts! This drop-in event will be held at the Vollmer Centre, Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

• Complete the Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan Community Survey which will launch on November 11, 2024, and be open until December 6, 2024.
• Leave your comments on the PlaceSpeak project page.
