Event Centre Capacities

Dry event with tables and chairs: Maximum 1000 persons
Market/trade show: Maximum 500 persons
Alcohol with tables and chairs: Maximum 800 to 900 persons

All capacities are subject to further restriction based on your event floor plan, in accordance with the Ontario Fire Code.

Parking

Parking is available by entering the parking lot from Bouffard Road. There are parking spaces for 142 vehicles, 11 are accessible.

Additional parking is available at the Riverdance Building and the LaSalle Boat Ramp at the corner of Front Road and Laurier Drive. It is a short walk from the additional parking lot to the Event Centre. Guests can be dropped off at the Event Centre before parking.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of events can I host at the Event Centre?

We welcome all types of events, with a preference for those open to the public. For more information, please refer to the Facility Rentals - Event Hosting Policy.

Is the facility licensed for alcohol?

Yes, the Event Organizer is responsible for obtaining and providing a Special Occasion Permit through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), or provide a Caterer's Endorsement. Events must also follow the Municipal Alcohol Risk Management Policy.

Can the Town help with advertising the event?

Yes, the Town of LaSalle is happy to assist in the promotion of community events that are held at a Town of LaSalle facility and are open to the public. The following are ways we can support your event:

Add the event to the Events Calendar on the Town of LaSalle website. Use the 'Submit Event' button to start the process. Event organizers are encouraged to submit events at least three weeks before the event date.
Submit a campaign poster to be added to the lobby screens in our facilities. These are located at the Town of LaSalle Civic Centre, the Vollmer Centre, and Event Centre. Send a 1024 x 768 pixel sized graphic by email to the Strategy and Engagement Department.
Tag the LaSalle Events Facebook page to make us aware of your campaign posts. We will review and share on our pages when applicable and possible. Please allow 48 hours before your event for us to review and share your post.
Signage may be displayed outside of the Event Centre, subject to approval.

Do you provide equipment for decorating the space?

No, you need to bring your own equipment, including chairs, tables, audio/visual gear, and ladders.

Am I responsible for cleanup after the event?

Yes, we ask that you leave the facility as you found it. Janitorial staff clean restrooms, empty garbage, and clean floors throughout your rental time. The Event Organizer is responsible for removing all equipment.
