Inspections
Identifying hazards before they cause harm is the best way to reduce the number of fires and the damage they cause.
Our fire prevention staff conducts inspections of all commercial properties in the Town of LaSalle to ensure compliance with the Ontario Fire Code.
Inspection Fees
Requested Inspection requiring letter (ie. licencing, change of ownership) $100
Requested Inspection - multiple units/floors, commercial >10,000 square feet $75/hour
Follow-up inspections fire code violations - per site follow-up $100

Permits
Fireworks
Under By‑Law 8013 ("Sale and Discharge of Fireworks"), the Town regulates both display fireworks and consumer fireworks. Permits may be issued by the Chief Fire Official when certain conditions are met, and depending on the type of fireworks. Fireworks display are subject to a fee. All requests must be made on-line.

Reports
Fire Incident reports may be requested by the property owner, insurance company, or solicitor representing the property owner. Fire reports are subject to a fee. All requests must be made on-line.
