Effective Monday, October 30, 2023, the LaSalle Transit eastbound Route 25 will have a minor route change.  The route will now provide service to the Morton Industrial area by continuing westbound on Morton Drive (across Ojibway Parkway), left on the second Morton Industrial Drive, and proceed through the business area, then right onto Morton Drive.

This change will provide service to the industrial area enhancing the service for passengers and eliminating the need for passengers to cross Ojibway Parkway. Four new bus stops have been added in the Morton industrial area to accommodate this change.

The times for this route will remain the same. There is no change to the westbound route. LaSalle Transit Service operates one bus Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and a second bus during the peak morning and afternoon hours. There is one bus operating on Saturday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. It will take approximately 45 minutes for one bus to travel the entire route.  The Town of LaSalle has an agreement in place with Transit Windsor for operation of the buses.

General Information

The LaSalle route buses are fully accessible. The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) also has Stop Annunciation (AODA requirement) providing onboard voice and visual announcements. There are security cameras installed on each Transit Windsor bus. This feature enhances the safety of our riders and operators.

The buses are equipped with bike racks from March 15 to December 15. There is no extra charge to use the bike rack. Each rack can hold up to two bicycles. They are available first come first serve. Bike racks are available for non-motorized, two-wheeled bicycles only. More information about bike racks.

Transit Windsor has implemented an enhanced cleaning and sanitizing schedule.

  • Buses: We have increased the frequency of bus cleanings, wiping down all hard surfaces, operator compartments and passenger seats using Oxivir, Virox, Sani-Q disinfectant solutions.
  • Terminals: All hard surfaces in transit terminals are sanitized regularly on a daily basis. Cleaning and sanitizing schedules will be in place for the foreseeable future.

The buses for transit in LaSalle are identical to the buses that are operated by Transit Windsor. They are full-size clean diesel buses.
