UPDATE: The start of the Front Road Storm Sewer Reconstruction project has been postponed by two weeks due to a delay in the arrival of necessary materials. Major traffic delays on Front Road are expected to begin closer to mid-August. We will continue to share updates as the project progresses.

The Town of LaSalle is advising motorists that the intersection of Sandwich West Parkway and Heritage Drive will be closed from Monday, July 28 to Monday, September 22, 2025, to allow for the construction of a new roundabout.

In October of 2022, the Town of LaSalle conducted a Traffic Study of the Mayfair Avenue and Maple Avenue intersection. Based on the findings, the Town decided to reassign the right-of-way from Maple Avenue to Mayfair Avenue at this intersection. 

The Town will begin a storm sewer reconstruction project in the coming months along Front Road from Reaume Road to Boismier Avenue. During the project, traffic lanes will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes, and turning restrictions will be in place. This project will cause major traffic delays. Alternate routes should be considered, as well as adding additional time for commutes.

The Town of LaSalle Public Works Department will reopen Matchett Road bridge over Turkey Creek, Friday, May 30 at approximately 4:00 pm, after months of rehabilitation work.
