Vollmer Complex

The Vollmer Centre will be closed on the following holidays in 2025: 

• New Year's Day  - January 1
• Good Friday - April 18
• Easter Sunday - April 20
• Victoria Day - May 19
• Canada Day - July 1
• Civic Holiday - August 4
• Labour Day - September 1
• Thanksgiving Monday - October 13
• Christmas Eve Day - December 24 (Facility closes at 12:00 pm)
• Christmas Day - December 25
• Boxing Day - December 26
• New Year's Eve Day - December 31 (Facility closes at 3:00 pm)

Additional holiday changes:

• Family Day: Regular activities are cancelled. Registration for special swims and skates will be offered.
• March Break: Regular activities are cancelled. Registration for camps, special swims, and skates will be offered.
• Halloween: Children's activities are cancelled.
• New Year's Eve: Registration for special swims and skates will be offered.

 The Vollmer Centre is 120,000 square feet in size. Inside the building, you will find:

• 2 NHL size arenas; one with seating for 1,000 people, the other with seating for 200 people

• Fully accessible washrooms

• Swimming pool, waterslide, sauna and hot tub

• Fitness centre and walking track

• Meeting and activity rooms

There are 220 acres of land at the Vollmer Recreation Complex. Outside you will find:

• 30 soccer fields
• 6 softball diamonds
• 2 hardball diamonds
• 4 tennis courts
• Various trails and hills for group runs/walks
• Retention pond with dock
• Large picnic pavilion that seats 200
• Small picnic pavilion that seats 50
• Outdoor amphitheatre
• Outdoor concession facility
• Outdoor restrooms
• Skatepark and splash pad with an accessible playground
• LaSalle Transit bus stop
• Dog Park

The Vollmer Complex offers 7 parking lots with accessible access (5 paved, 2 stone) with parking for 1500 vehicles

• Lot 1 (paved): 286 spaces, 18 accessible spaces
• Lot 2 (paved): 155 spaces, 22 accessible spaces
• Lot 3 (paved): 210 spaces, 22 accessible spaces
• Lot 4 (paved): 110 spaces, 10 accessible spaces
• Lot 5 (paved): 170 spaces, 10 accessible spaces
• Lot 6 (stone):  200 spaces, 4 accessible spaces
• Lot 7 (stone):  300 spaces, 4 accessible spaces
