Ring in the New Year with us! LaSalle’s annual New Year's Eve Fireworks show is scheduled at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex at 2121 Laurier Parkway.

Swimming and skating adventures are lined up to create some holiday fun at the Vollmer Centre. The Holiday Aquatics and Skate Schedule is now available on our website. Sessions begin Sunday, December 21, 2025, and run until Saturday, January 3, 2026.

After two days of deliberations on November 27 and 28, LaSalle Council made amendments to the 2026 Budget resulting in a Municipal General Levy of $53M (it was $50M in 2025). This amounts to an increase of the LaSalle portion of taxes to $109.99 annually for the average single-family home, or 3.47%.

All town-owned tennis and pickleball courts are closed for the season on Monday, November 24.

The Town of LaSalle will host the Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Regular Meeting of Council at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in-person in Council Chambers; members of Council and administration may participate virtually. Meetings are streamed live on the Town of LaSalle YouTube Channel.

The Ontario Heritage Trust, in partnership with the County of Essex, the Town of Amherstburg and the Town of LaSalle, unveiled a new provincial plaque commemorating the River Canard Bridge. This bridge exemplifies rapid change and growth in Depression-era Ontario, when infrastructure design balanced beauty with innovative engineering.
