The unofficial results of the 2025 LaSalle Municipal Election.

The water/wastewater bills will be placed in the mail Tuesday, October 21. With the potential for a backlog of mail and rotating closures, customers may not receive this information by the original due date. The due date has been extended to Friday, November 28, penalty free.  

Internet voting continues in LaSalle with electors casting their votes using any computer or wireless device, 24 hours a day. Electors can vote from virtually anywhere until 8:00 pm tonight, Monday, October 20.

Due to the nationwide strike by Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Eligible voters in LaSalle can pick up their Voter Information Letter (VIL) to cast their vote in the 2025 Municipal By-Election.The VILs will be available beginning on Wednesday, October 8 at 9:30 am at the LaSalle Civic Centre to vote by internet for the position of one councillor seat. This letter includes the PIN number that will be used to log into the voting system. It is needed in order to cast a vote.

In June 2021, the province released the Blue Box Regulation shifting the financial and operational responsibility of recycling from municipalities to the organizations that produce packaging, paper and packaging-like products. Ontario residents will be able to recycle more materials than ever before and recycle the same materials no matter where they live in Ontario.

The Town of LaSalle is doing a study to look at ways to manage Short-Term Rentals (STRs) in our community. This could lead to changes in the Town’s Official Plan, Zoning By-law, and additional municipal by-laws. Visit the drop-in session, Thursday, October 23, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, at the Vollmer Centre to find out more.

All outdoor baseball and soccer sport fields close for the season at the Vollmer Complex, 2121 Laurier Parkway, on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
