Environment Canada has issued an extended heat warning for Windsor-Essex County from Saturday, August 9, until Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

The H20asis Aquatic Centre will undergo annual maintenance from Monday, September 1 to Friday, September 26, reopening for use on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This includes the indoor pool, sauna, and spa at the Vollmer Centre. The pool is typically scheduled to be closed in September each year for maintenance. 

The Town of LaSalle will host the Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Regular Meeting of Council at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in-person in Council Chambers; members of Council and administration may participate virtually. Meetings are streamed live on the Town of LaSalle YouTube Channel.

Phase 2 Cat Spay and Neuter Vouchers are available beginning on August 1, 2025, in LaSalle.

The Town of LaSalle is currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Municipal By-Election. Individuals interested in running for office are encouraged to submit their nomination forms in person at the LaSalle Civic Centre, located at 5950 Malden Road. The nomination period is currently open and will close on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

LaSalle’s third annual Last Call Before Fall (LCBF) event in collaboration with Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island, returns on Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6. This end-of-summer celebration invites guests to unwind under bistro lights and beside whisky barrels.

Pedestrian crossing upgrades and signal maintenance is underway in LaSalle.

LaSalle Fire Service has been selected as one of 17 fire departments across Ontario to receive a donation of smoke alarms from Kidde Canada, in partnership with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC).
