The LaSalle Fire Service is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®)—the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week (FPW™) for more than 100 years—to promote this year’s FPW campaign, “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!™ The campaign works to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home.
The LaSalle Police Service invites community members to share their feedback to help shape the 2025-2028 Strategic Plan.
We understand the frustration with the heavy traffic in and out of LaSalle during rush hours. We know that this is in part due to the construction on Ojibway Parkway between Morton Drive and Sprucewood Avenue, and the construction in Sandwich Town, and drivers using alternate routes to avoid those areas.
Working smoke alarms give you the precious time you need to escape a fire and the LaSalle Fire Service wants you and your family to be protected. By law, every home in Ontario must have a working smoke alarm on every storey and outside all sleeping areas.
Fire Chief Thiessen is calling on all residents of LaSalle to test their smoke alarms on Saturday, September 28, 2024, as part of Test Your Smoke Alarm Day. Be prepared to be Saved by the Beep with working smoke alarms – it is your best chance to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire.
A planned service disruption to the Internet and telephone system is scheduled to take place beginning at 9:00 am on Sunday, August 18. The LaSalle Civic Centre, Vollmer Centre, LaSalle Fire Service, and Public Works will be impacted.
As the summer winds down, join in the Last Call Before Fall and savour the flavour of what our region has to offer on Friday, September 6, and/or Saturday, September 7.
UPDATE: The pickleball courts are completed and ready for play. Signs with pickleball court rules are on order and will be posted on-site in the coming weeks.
LaSalle’s second annual Last Call Before Fall (LCBF) event in collaboration with Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island, takes place on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7.
Mayor Meloche On Location has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the LaSalle Turtle Club, 375 Reaume Road. The original date was postponed due to weather conditions.
