A Message for LaSalle Outdoor Pool Users

At this time, the LaSalle Outdoor Pool is open to all individuals who have made a reservation through the Vollmer Complex. Space is limited, participation is FREE, and time frames are scheduled to accommodate restrictions set out by the Ontario government.

The LaSalle Outdoor Pool is located at 1200 Front Rd. (Front Rd. at Laurier Dr.).  Leadership and Lifeguarding classes will be offered, visit www.lasalleactive.ca for a list of current classes. Please note children and youth swimming lessons will not be offered this summer. For the months of July and August we will offer lap swims, Aquafitness classes and open swims. Registration is required.

Note: children ages 0-10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Change rooms will be available upon exiting the facility only, please come ready to swim.

Contact surfaces are disinfected regularly.


  • You must pre-register to use the aquatic facility or to participate in an aquafitness class.
  • To register, please go to www.lasalleactive.ca or call 519-969-7771, ext. 0.
  • Reservations begin at 8:30a on Mondays, both online and over the phone (Monday—Friday 8:30a-4:30p)
  • Walk-in participation and visitors will not be permitted.
  • You must pre-register based on predetermined time slots.
  • Reservations for the entire week (Monday to Sunday) can now be scheduled beginning on the Monday of the previous week, please note that space is limited
  • For example, if you wish to attend an Aqua fitness class everyday from Monday July 5th to Friday July 9th (from 8:15a-9:00a), you may register for all five appointments simultaneously, beginning on Monday June 28th

Before Leaving Home:

  • Stay at home and away from others if you are feeling ill or have symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Please shower with soap and water before leaving home as showers are not available at this time.
  • Wear your bathing suit under your clothes; dressing rooms are not available prior to your swim session.
  • Bring your face covering, as you will be required to wear it while in the facility.
  • Arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to the start of your swim time.
  • Early entry into the facility will not be permitted.
  • Bring your own water bottle as water fountains and refill stations are not available at this time.
  • Remember to leave your valuables at home.

Arrival at the LaSalle Outdoor Pool:

  • You will be required to wear a face covering upon entering the facility.
  • Please enter through the double gate, located closest to the parking lot.
  • Markers will be set up, to provide visual cues to encourage physical distancing.
  • You can check in as early as 15 minutes before and up to 10 minutes after your scheduled start time, however, you will only be permitted access to the facility during this time frame.
  • Early or late arrival will not be permitted. Please note that the gate will remain locked at all other times.
  • Before entry, you will be greeted by a staff member for screening.

Individuals will not be allowed to enter the facility if they:

  • Are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days
  • Have returned from travel or been in contact with someone who has travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days (US essential workers are exempt)
  • On your first visit, you will be required to provide a signed copy of the Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19. This document will be emailed to you at the time of registration and can also be found at www.lasalle.ca/fitness 
  • You are required to use hand sanitizer which is provided at the entrance of the facility.
  • You must check in at the screening desk upon arrival, for contact tracing purposes.
  • Please proceed to a marked spot on the deck where you can take off your over clothes.
  • You will be permitted to bring a bag of your belongings onto the pool deck as lockers are not available.
  • Please wear clean sandals or water shoes are allowed.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Pool Use:

  • Patrons must keep face coverings on until they enter the pool.
  • Each personal face covering should be labelled and stored in a disposable bag poolside during activity.
  • Face covering should be worn at all times by those accompanying the user, in accordance with provincial guidelines.
  • Face coverings are required when entering/exiting the area.
  • Please remember to remain physically distanced from others while entering and exiting the pool and while on the pool deck. Remain in your assigned space for the duration of your class/pool time.
  • Leave the pool and pool deck promptly at the end of your scheduled time.
  • Dressing room use is limited to 15 minutes after your scheduled pool time. Showers are not available.
  • Please exit the facility within 15 minutes and without unnecessary delay.
  • Your cooperation is required to allow for proper sanitization and preparation for the next users.

Please Note:

  • Pool equipment such as noodles, dumb bells, flutter boards will not be available for use at this time.
  • Pool space and time is limited .
  • Showers are not available.

The original outdoor pool was built in 1959 and monies were gathered by the LaSalle Youth Centre through donations and a boat raffle. The outdoor pool was re-opened on June 23, 1999, and was reconstructed to be about 60% bigger than the original pool. Former Mayor Vince Marcotte, and John Beneteau, the first Manager of the original pool, cut the ribbon to officially start the swimming season.
