The LaSalle Boat Ramp, located along the Detroit River at the corner of Front Road and Laurier Drive, will open for the season on Friday, April 4, 2025. Users must have a seasonal pass or purchase a day pass to use the boat ramp.
Given the continued and expected growth of the Town of LaSalle, administration has been updating the corporation’s Strategic Plan over the past several months. The review and update of LaSalle’s current Strategic Plan, LaSalle 2050, is intended to consider this vision and develop a plan for the next 5 years.
To celebrate March Break, students can ride LaSalle Transit 25 Route for $1 cash fare per ride from Monday, March 10 to Saturday, March 15.

Based on Environment and Climate Change Canada’s forecast, Dr. Mehdi Aloosh, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a Cold Warning for Tuesday, February 18 and Wednesday, February 19, 2025. A Cold Warning is issued when the temperature reaches -15°C (5°F) without the wind chill for one day.
LaSalle residents can take advantage of the early bird rate for annual LaSalle Boat Ramp Passes. They will be available for purchase between Saturday, March 1, and Monday, March 31.
With the potential for snow and freezing rain in the future forecast (Environment Canada), the Town of LaSalle would like to remind all drivers and property owners of winter maintenance and snow removal tips for safety this season.
The Town of LaSalle 2025 Interim Tax Bills were mailed the first week of February. Please contact the Finance Department at 519-969-7770, ext. 1230 if you do not receive an interim tax notice by the middle of February and should have received one. Failure to receive a tax bill does not mean that there are no taxes owing for your property.

Burn risks are present in every living space, from homes to apartments to temporary shelters. During National Burn Awareness Week, February 2 to 8, 2025, the LaSalle Fire Service is raising awareness about preventing burn injuries and fires in the home.
