LaSalle’s Crest

LaSalle Crest

History and Meaning Behind LaSalle's Crest

When LaSalle officially became a town on June 1, 1991, the municipality held a contest in the schools to design the crest.  Submissions from 9 students were used in the final design.

A pair of hands shaking represents friendship.  The tractor represents fertile farmland.  The Canada Goose represents wildlife.  The ship represents Le Griffon that sailed the Great Lakes.
