The Vollmer Centre offers room rentals for private gatherings and events. 

Kin Club Auditorium/Multi-Purpose Room

About

The Kin Club Auditorium (commonly referred to as the Multi-Purpose Room) is located on the South side of the Vollmer Centre nearest to Parking Lot 2

This rental space can be booked as a full room or a half room (side A and side B). Rental fees are charged in accordance with our user fee schedule.

Kitchenette

  • The kitchenette consists of a large fridge, a sink, preparation space, a serving window and a microwave. The kitchenette is only available with full room or side A rentals. 

Capacity

Capacities are determined by the Ontario Fire Code and the Town of LaSalle.

Full Room:

  • 150 with tables and chairs

  • 150 with tables, chairs and dance floor

  • 150 with alcohol being served

Side A Only:

  • 75 with tables and chairs

  • 50 with alcohol being served

Side B Only:

  • 75 with tables and chairs

  • No alcohol permitted on this side

Floor Plans and Set Up

You may choose from one of three available floor plans. We do not accept custom floor plans and seating arrangements.  We offer circular tables for seating and rectangular tables for food and gifts.

Rectangular tables are 6 feet long and 30 inches wide and are used only for storing food, beverages or gifts.

Circular tables are 60 inches in diameter and seat approximately 6-8 persons depending on orientation of the table.

Food and Catering

This room is equipped to serve and cater food for any event. Please be respectful and remove any excess garbage and cardboard at the end of your rental with you. If you require additional garbage or cardboard removal, please inform us upon booking. There is not direct access by vehicle to the entrance doors of this room. Catering vehicles must park in a designated parking spot. Carts to move items to and from the room are not available. This kitchenette does not have an oven.

Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial Room

About

The Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial Room (commonly referred to as the Rotary Room) is a multi-purpose room inside the Vollmer Centre on the main floor next to the pool. This room is sponsored by the Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial.

Rental fees are charged in accordance with our user fee schedule.

  • Coat rack

  • Window access to the pool (window shades available)

  • 3 electrical receptacles

  • Built-in FM radio with adjustable volume (channels/input non-adjustable)

Capacity

Capacities are determined by the Ontario Fire Code and the Town of LaSalle.

  • 32 with tables and chairs

  • 40 without tables and chairs

  • No alcohol permitted in this room

You may choose from one of four available floor plans. We do not accept custom floor plans and seating arrangements. Rectangular tables are used in this room. We do not offer circular tables for this room.

Riverdance Community Centre

Riverdance Community Room Rentals

About

The Riverdance Community Centre, located at 1 Laurier Drive, opened in 2011. Perfectly situated along the Detroit River, the Riverdance Community Centre offers one indoor gathering room with an attached kitchenette with cupboards, preparation space and a refrigerator. Attached to the rental room is an outdoor covered porch with tables for seating. Fully equipped indoor restrooms are also available. The Riverdance Community Centre also hosts the LaSalle Rowing Club and the Freshwater Restoration Ecology Centre from the University of Windsor.

Rental fees are charged in accordance with our user fee schedule. There is a minimum booking fee of 4 hours for all rentals at this facility. 

Amenities Available

There is one indoor gathering room with a maximum occupant load of 40 persons. Rentals using this space must not exceed 40 persons.

There is a kitchenette attached with cupboards, preparation space and a refrigerator. All leftover food must be removed or disposed of at the end of the rental. Failure to leave a clean site after your rental will result in additional charges.

Availability and Requests

Hosting a Private Rental

In accordance with our rental policy, private rentals must abide by our policies at all times. 

Who can I contact the day of my rental for help?
Please speak to our receptionist on duty for assistance.
Can I come in the night before my rental to set up?
The start of your rental time is the time that you may enter to set up. Please account for your set up time in your room rental booking. Access to the room before your scheduled time is prohibited.
Are facility staff available to help me bring items in from my vehicle?
Room rentals are for the room and amenities only. We do not provide facility staff to assist with your set up. We also do not have carts or hand trucks available.
I forgot something. Can I get an extra table the day of the rental?
The standard room floor plan and amount of tables and chairs is requested in advance to ensure our operations team can be prepared for your rental. We want your rental to be perfect. We cannot guarantee additional items added on last minute but will accommodate where possible. Your rental is considered confirmed after booking.
Where can I put up my decorations?
Decorations cannot be hung from the ceiling, light fixtures or fire sprinklers. Decorations must only be put up with an easily removable adhesive such as scotch tape. Signs or decorations on any windows is prohibited. No stick tack, duct tape or tuck tape.
Are presents and items secure inside my rented room?
All facility room doors remain unlocked. We do not provide tenants with a key. It is advised that a responsible person remain in the room at all times to monitor your belongings. The Town of LaSalle is not responsible for lost or stolen goods. 
Which rentals are permitted?

We welcome family gatherings, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, corporate meetings, seminars, holiday parties and more.

The following events are not permitted:

  • Stag and Doe/Jack and Jill
  • Bachelor/bachelorette parties
  • Festivals
  • Political events or rallies
  • Vendor shows advertised and open to public
  • Shopping events advertised and open to public
Can I bring alcohol?

The use and sale of alcohol at a private event is strictly regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and Town policy.

You must possess a special occasion permit (SOP) and receive Town approval in accordance with our Municipal Alcohol Risk Management Policy.

Can I light candles on a birthday cake?
Yes. Please be careful when doing so and blow out candles immediately. Open flames should never be left unattended. Fireworks, fire crackers, and sparklers are prohibited.
