After two days of deliberations on November 27 and 28, LaSalle Council made amendments to the 2026 Budget resulting in a Municipal General Levy of $53M (it was $50M in 2025). This amounts to an increase of the LaSalle portion of taxes to $109.99 annually for the average single-family home, or 3.47%.
Weekend programming at LaSalle Holiday Lights Heritage Nights continues Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at the Event Centre and The Loop at LaSalle Landing until December 21, 2025. Join us for festive weekends filled with family-friendly activities, holiday shopping, and seasonal entertainment.
The Town of LaSalle is pleased to announce the opening of The Loop Skate Trail at LaSalle Landing. The Loop is located at 1010 Front Road, south of the Event Centre.
The LaSalle Firefighters Associations are thrilled with the success of LaSalle Gives Back for a second year in a row. This initiative, that began in 2024, supports the LaSalle community during the holiday season and beyond. The LaSalle Gives Back 2025 campaign raised a remarkable $72,834.39.

This bridge exemplifies rapid change and growth in Depression-era Ontario, when infrastructure design balanced beauty with innovative engineering.

The Town of LaSalle has released the 2026 Draft Budget and Business Plan document. It is available on the Budget and Finance page of the Town’s website, and can also be viewed in person at the LaSalle Civic Centre.
Holiday Lights Heritage Nights will include two locations to experience the magic of LaSalle throughout the holiday season: The LaSalle Civic Centre for light displays including a 40-foot-tall walk-through tree and a tree lighting on November 21. The Event Centre at LaSalle Landing for weekend programming beginning November 28. The weekend programming that was previously at the LaSalle Civic Centre will now be held at the Event Centre.
