Pick Up Voter Information Letter in Order to Vote in the 2025 LaSalle By-Election
Due to the nationwide strike by Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), Eligible voters in LaSalle can pick up their Voter Information Letter (VIL) to cast their vote in the 2025 Municipal By-Election.
The VILs will be available Wednesday, October 8 at 9:30 am until October 20 at 8:00 pm (By-Election Voting Day) at the LaSalle Civic Centre. This letter includes the PIN number that will be used to log into the voting system. Votes can be cast using any computer or wireless device, 24 hours a day from virtually anywhere for the position of one councillor seat. Vote anytime beginning Friday, October 10, from 10:00 am until Monday, October 20 at 8:00 pm.

NOTICE is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Town of LaSalle that a By-Election to elect one (1) at-large Councillor, has been called. Voting Day for this By-Election is Monday, October 20, 2025. The newly-elected Councillor will be sworn in on October 28, 2025, and will hold office until the end of the term, on November 14, 2026.
At the Regular Meeting of Council, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Council is expected to adopt a by-law to hold a By-Election for 1 Councillor Seat.

The LaSalle Transit Summer Saver Pass is a 2-month pass designed exclusively for youth (ages 13 to 19), providing savings during the sunny summer months. The $126.00 unlimited ride pass can be used to ride the LaSalle 25 bus in July and August.
The Town of LaSalle will host the Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Regular Meeting of Council at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in-person in Council Chambers; members of Council and administration may participate virtually. Meetings are streamed live on the Town of LaSalle YouTube Channel.

In October of 2022, the Town of LaSalle conducted a Traffic Study of the Mayfair Avenue and Maple Avenue intersection. Based on the findings, the Town decided to reassign the right-of-way from Maple Avenue to Mayfair Avenue at this intersection.

The Town of LaSalle property tax bills were mailed the first week of June. Payments are due on June 27 and August 29, 2025.
All Town of LaSalle buildings will be closed to the public on Wednesday, June 25, for a Town wide staff training day. On Thursday, June 26, the Vollmer Centre will be closed to the public, and all municipal buildings will also be closed on Tuesday, July 1, for Canada Day.
