At the 2026 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference, Mayor Crystal Meloche of Town of LaSalle, was elected to the AMO Board of Directors, representing the Small Urban Caucus.

The Town of LaSalle announces the retirement of Joe Milicia, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), after 28 years of public service.

The Town of LaSalle has applied to the Province of Ontario's Development Charge Reduction Program (DCRP), seeking funding that would allow the Town to provide a 100% reduction in municipal development charges for eligible residential development over the next three years if the application is successful.
