Pedestrian Bridge (Pirate Bridge) Winter Closure

The pedestrian bridge (Pirate Bridge) between Vince Marcotte Park and Stanton Park is closed for maintenance and will remain closed until Spring 2025. 

Closure signs and detour routes will be posted. The detour route is Minto Avenue to Matchett Road, over Turkey Creek to re-connect with the LaSalle Trail. 

While the construction zone is in place, and to ensure safety, the public will not be allowed to access the bridge. Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.

Last Friday, November 22, was the fourth annual Holiday Lights Heritage Nights Kick Off event, including a tree lighting ceremony. A big thank you to all our dedicated staff for making the first weekend a huge success.

Winter Maintenance and Snow Removal

The Town of LaSalle would like to remind all drivers and property owners of our winter maintenance and snow removal tips for safety this winter season.

During winter events snow removal and/or salting begins with the main roads first followed by residential streets. Snow removal takes time especially in heavy accumulation. “Jack Frost” Triumphs: Sacred Heart Grade One Students Name the Snowplow

The Town of LaSalle Public Works Department and Jack Frost the snowplow paid a special visit to the grade one students of Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School today to congratulate them on winning the Name the Snowplow contest. The event was filled with excitement as students posed for photos with the new snowplow, enjoyed candy dispensed from the plow, and took turns sitting in the driver’s seat, making it a memorable visit.

2025 Budget Session Agenda

The Town of LaSalle will host the 2025 Budget Session on Wednesday, December 4, and Thursday, December 5, 2024 (if required). Budget Sessions start at 9:00 am.
