National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, serves as a tribute to the children who never returned home from residential schools, the courageous survivors who lived through those challenging times, and the enduring strength of their families and communities.

Minister of Infrastructure Kinga Surma and Essex MPP Anthony Leardi, announced the Ontario government is investing $22,424,688 in water infrastructure to help build approximately 10,000 new homes in the Town of LaSalle.

The EWSWA Green Bin campaign is well underway. To get residents ready for this October’s food waste collection program, Green Bin Kits will be delivered to single-family homes in the Town of LaSalle beginning on Tuesday, September 2. 

The Town of LaSalle continues to invite residents aged 55+ to participate in its Coffee with a Community Leader series—an ongoing program designed to foster meaningful connections between seniors and local leaders in a relaxed and informal setting.

The H20asis Aquatic Centre will undergo annual maintenance from Monday, September 1 to Friday, September 26, reopening for use on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This includes the indoor pool, sauna, and spa at the Vollmer Centre. The pool is typically scheduled to be closed in September each year for maintenance.
