October 7, 2026: Voter Information Letters (VIL) for the 2026 LaSalle Municipal and School Board Elections have been mailed, and residents will begin receiving them in the next few days.
Each VIL includes important information about the voting platform, how to vote, and a PIN needed to access the voting portal. Eligible voters are encouraged to review the information carefully to ensure the information is accurate, and the VIL should be kept in a safe place until voting opens. The LaSalle Strawberry Festival takes place from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, June 14 at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex, 2121 Laurier Parkway. Festivalgoers can look forward to carnival rides, the cherished community parade the Vollmer Complex, a spectacular fireworks display, live music performances, and delicious treats including locally grown strawberries.
The Town of LaSalle recognized local artist Gary Campeau with the unveiling of a plaque on Friday, June 5, 2026, for one of the community’s most recognizable landmarks, George the Giraffe, at the Vollmer Centre.
